As the name suggests this guest house was originally the police station and magistrates’ court for Betws-y-Coed. Full of character, it has been sympathetically restored and refurbished to provide comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation whilst still containing many of its original features which make The Courthouse a very special place to stay.
All rooms are double glazed, non-smoking and en-suite. Each room is individually appointed and 4 out of 5 rooms have king or superking size beds. Our luxury “Lawyer’s” and 4-poster “Interrogation” rooms also have massive bathrooms and lovely views over the river Conwy flowing past the garden, and Mount Garmon beyond. The “Handcuff” room is a large airy room which can be let as a double or twin. The “Fingerprint” room also has a king size bed but is a smaller cottage style room. The “Cell” room was originally one of the cells and has a separate (but connected) lobby with a sofabed. It can be let as a double, single (winter only) or triple room.
The Courthouse is located beside the river Conwy, well away from the main road through the village yet only 4 minutes from the village centre.
It is in the perfect location for a holiday or short break in North Wales, situated in the heart of the Gwydyr forest in the Snowdonia National Park within easy reach of both the coast and the mountains.
